Everything reeked of cigarette smoke, wafting over from the casino, to include the hallways in the hotel area. Everything was set up in a closed restaurant space (Buffys) within the venue however, it was not conducive to learning with lack of control over the noise from machines and passerby guests. The venue lacks an official office space or conference room area for this kind of activity. This venue was selected as a venue for a four day seminar hosted on-site. It is about 15 miles away and there are many lodging options there - all the standard places you would expect. My suggestion: if you want to gamble at the 7 Clans Casino, stay in Ponca City, OK. Will probably have to use the credit card company to dispute the charges. They promised a return call to sort that out. Not true since an additional $100.00 had already been charged when we checked in three days earlier. It was $100.00 more than the printed receipt I have. Hmmmm., The day after we arrived back home I noticed an extra charge on my credit card attached to my room charges. Strange statement since we were using heat not A/C as the outside temps were fairly cool (low 40’s). He said it was caused by a buildup of condensation. Wonder how many other rooms have that safety issue? - Thursday afternoon we noticed the carpet under the room HVAC unit was very wet. The wires were pushed up inside the ceiling. So if there was a fire the hotel would not be notified. Come to find out the sensor was not wired to the fire network. I had to get up and pull the fire sensor off the tall ceiling. Since maintenance had gone home already, the clerk showed up with a small step ladder. The rooms are clean BUT we had two issues with the room: - the fire sensor in the ceiling had a bad battery so it started BEEPING loudly. We stayed two nights at the 7 Clans Resort Hotel to do some gambling.
